Double-Fatal Crash near North Bend

NORTH BEND, Ore. — Two people and a dog died in a crash near North Bend Tuesday night.

It happened on Highway 101 about five miles north of North Bend at about 11:20 p.m.

Oregon State Police say a man driving a pickup truck was driving northbound when somehow he crossed into the southbound lane and drove north on the shoulder, rolled onto its passenger side and caught fire.

The man, his passenger and a pet dog inside died. No names have been released.

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash.
