EUGENE, Ore. — Construction crews are hard at work renovating the old Taco Time building on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Willamette Street. Demolition is complete on the downtown building and crews are in full construction mode, working on the interior and exterior.
The First on Broadway building will be a mixed use building; it will have 16 apartments upstairs including two penthouse units with rooftop decks.
On the ground floor, will be the Bijou’s four-screen movie theater and the First National Tap House, an English-style pub.
“The First National Tap House–the name came from the concept of what the building was, which was the First National Bank, and so it’s a collaboration with the Bijou to add food and wine and beer,” said Steve Master, owner of Master Development.
There’s an old vault door in the basement of the building, which crews plan to bring up through this opening and use in the First National Tap House.
The space on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Willamette Street is still available for lease. The project is expected to be completed by February 2013.
