BEAVERTON, Ore. — Two North Douglas High School seniors won first and second place at an athletic shoe design contest at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton.

Last Thursday, Zach Nash (left) and Thompson Rogers (right) took part in the competition at the 5th Annual Jordan Brand Experience Event.

More than 800 high school students from around Oregon participated this year.

Nash and Rogers’ designs were chosen out of more than 200 entries. Nash’s design is called Nike Wave, which has shades of blue in a water pattern. Rogers’ design is called Pit Viper, featuring a scaled pattern on a black, gray, and dark green background.
