Driver Charged in Pedestrian’s Death

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A driver has been charged in the death of a pedestrian, Roseburg Police said.

They say 32-year-old Shaun Lowry, of Roseburg, was driving along Lookingglass Road near Normandy on Aug. 13 when he struck two pedestrians. Amanda Bell died, and Shawnacy Hyatt was sent to OHSU and has since been released from the hospital.

Lawry faces manslaughter, DUII and reckless endangerment charges.
