COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – Oregon State Police say the driver involved in a serious-injury crash early Tuesday morning will face several charges, including DUII.
Troopers say around 12:30 a.m. Tyler D. Wells, 21, of Cottage Grove was driving along Highway 99 near River Avenue when he took a curve too fast and slid sideways into the roadside ditch and flipped.
Wells and the passenger, Kyle E. Murrell, 23, of Cottage Grove were not wearing safety restraints and ejected from the vehicle.
Both Wells and Murrell were seriously injured and transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.
OSP cited Wells for DUII, assault in the second degree, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person.
