EUGENE, Ore. — Many local drivers said they’re struggling with the current driving conditions. Drivers said once the freezing rain started falling, getting behind the wheel became even more dangerous, compared to the last two days.
Some said once they get home from work, their only plan is to stay inside.
“Just slow and steady. I have no shame in going 25 on the freeway,” said Jennifer Bennett.
“Tonight’s my night off so today I will be inside. Hoping the weather will be clear enough to be able to go to church services Sunday morning and Sunday night, so I’ll be there tomorrow,” said Taunja McGregor.
Drivers KEZI 9 News spoke with said the biggest problem areas were side streets and the South Hills.
