CRESWELL, Ore. — Oregon State Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for dropping a cinder block from an I-5 overpass early Sunday morning. Police say it broke through a passing vehicle’s windshield and injured a woman inside the car.
The car was driving northbound on I-5 just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning under the E. Oregon Ave. overpass in Creswell, when the cinder came through the windshield. The car was driven by Michael Becker from Roy, Washington. He was not injured but his passenger, Tiffany Becker was hit in the face by the cinder block.
Tiffany was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Troopers later received information that four unidentified people on bicycles and skateboards were in the area around the time of the incident, but they don’t know if they’re connected to the investigation.
Anyone with information on those four subjects or suspicious activity in the area should call police.
