EUGENE, Ore. — You can drop off expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs Saturday, Sept. 29 at several places around town.
They’ll be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The goal is to keep the pills out of the hands of addicts and out of the local water supply, which can happen when you flush them.
Here is a list of local Drug Take-Back collection locations:
Federal Building, 211 East 7Th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97401
Lane Community College Center for Meeting and Learning @ LCC, Front of Building 19, 4000 East 30Th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97405
Lane Fire Authority – Veneta Station, 88050 Territorial Highway, Veneta, OR 97487
Creswell Chamber of Commerce, 285 East Oregon Avenue, Creswell, OR 97426

Please publicize this more. This website is the only place I saw it. Also, please offer more places to take drugs. If all fire stations could take the medications, then there would be a lot more people able and willing to get rid of old prescriptions the proper way.
Thanks,
Pat
