SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A Springfield man is behind bars for allegedly hitting three parked cars while intoxicated and then leading police on a chase.
Police say 25-year-old Gerardo Castro-Aguirre hit the cars on the 600 block of G Street then drove off. Officers say he drove into several yards on 7th Street, destroying fences and a street sign at Springfield High School . Police say he then fled on foot before he was eventually caught and taken to jail.
