EUGENE, Ore. — The drunk driver who hit and killed a cyclist last fall will spend nearly three years in prison.
Patrick Compton, 22, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide.
In November, he hit a University of Oregon student at 11th Avenue and High Street.
The victim, Craig Macfie, was set to graduate in December.
