EUGENE, Ore. — The 17-14 loss to the Stanford Cardinal in overtime struck most Duck fans by total surprise and, of course, disappointment. But many feel like they can identify where things went south and say Stanford just cracked the code on the Duck offense.
“In overtime it was just really bad because we don’t use our field goal kicker much and it was pretty downhill once he got on the field,” said one fan.
“They say it never rains in Autzen Stadium and it did. Feel bad for those guys they work hard, but they’re a young team and they have next season,” said another fan.
Fans believe the road ahead for the Ducks looks a bit grim, but most are holding out hope. The team’s future depends on some key upcoming games and the BCS standings.
