EUGENE, Ore. — This is the first night game for Oregon and the first game of the season for many students who just settled into town for fall term.
The rain storm did not keep fans from pouring into the stadium. It was on and off while fans tailgated before the game but fans say regardless of what happens during the game, a true Duck fan sticks it out until the end.
“Absolutely. We’re going to go in ten minutes before game time. We’re going to be there at the half, possibly come out, but we’re going to be there the whole time though,” said Justin Cannon, a self-proclaimed “die-hard” Duck fan.
“I’m probably just going to stay because my grandpa has season tickets so it’s worth it,” said Bryson Quinn, another Duck fan.
Fans say they expected it to be pretty wet today so they came prepared with ponchos, rain boots and all the necessary weather gear.
