Out of the dozens of local nonprofits that apply, only five make the cut.
They’re the beneficiaries of all the money raised from the event, which is more than $350,000 this year.
“The Rotary Duck Race funds allow us to provide crisis intervention and outreach services to the most at-risk families, and so we’re happy to be here to receive these funds and also to say thank you to the Rotarians for helping the children and families,” said Kelly Sutherland, Relief Nursery Executive Director.
It was also an amazing honor for KEZI 9 News as well. I was honored with the Burnell Ambrose Award for the work our station does to help promote the cause.
