Ducks Introduce Mark Helfrich

EUGENE, Ore. — Four days after Chip Kelly left the Ducks for the NFL, there is a new leading man in Eugene.

At a press conference today in Eugene, the University of Oregon announced Mark Helfrich as the new head coach of the Oregon Ducks football program. Helfrich was the offensive coordinator under Chip Kelly. Helfrich signed a five-year, $9 million contract with the University of Oregon.

Oregon players, including Marcus Mariota, De’Anthony Thomas, Brian Jackson, Hroniss Grasu and Ricky Heimuli took questions at the press conference, and offered their thoughts on the hire of Helfrich.
