EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene Fire and Police responded early Tuesday morning to a dumpster fire near the University of Oregon campus.
The fire began just after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, near 12th and Ferry St.
Fire officials say the blaze started in a dumpster which was located next to an apartment building. The flames did reach the apartment, charring the outside.
Crews were on scene in minutes and quickly distinguished the fire, saving the building from any major damage.
Eugene Police were on scene, in case the fire proved to be suspicious.
The cause is currently under investigation.

In case it turned out to be suspicious? It was either set on purpose or spontaneous combustion.
