Education Rep. Hosting Local Q & A

EUGENE, Ore. — Are you looking for an opportunity to get your two cents in on the state of the nation’s education system?

You’re invited to attend Friday’s question-and-answer session at the Springfield School District Office with a representative from the U.S. Department of Education.

He spent the past few days speaking with Lane County educators to gain a better understanding of the state’s strategy around college access.

“It’s actually quite exciting to, to be able to have these conversations on a community level in terms of what can be created,” said Greg Darnieder, Senior Advisor of College Access.

Organizers say this is a collaborative event between different organizations to discuss how Lane County can help achieve Oregon’s 40-20-20 goal.

The session begins at 10 a.m. and runs until noon.
