    Lane County Approves Pot Sales Tax

    Lane County commissioners are beating the ballot with marijuana sales tax. They voted four to one in favor of taxing recreational pot, should Measure 91 pass on Nov. 4. A clause in Measure 91 bans counties and cities from implementing their own taxes.

    Election Day is less than a month away, and Tuesday is the last day to register to vote. People can either go online, submit a voter registration form directly to the elections office, or mail in a registration card with a postmark no later than Oct. 14.
