Emerald City Roller Girls’ 6th Season

EUGENE, Ore. — The Emerald City Roller Girls prepared to tackle their 6th season Saturday, with a fierce double header. The Flat Track Furies battled the Andromedolls and the Emerald City’s Church of Sk8in faced off against Portland’s Break Neck Betties.

“It’s really fun, it’s always competitive, the Furries feel like we’re gonna take it tonight so we’re really excited to play them. We’re all chompin’ at the bit to get back on the track,” said Blue Ruin, Emerald City Roller Girls League President.

A three-day Roller Derby tournament at the fairgrounds in May will draw in teams from around the world for the first time ever. This season the league will donate some of its proceeds to one local nonprofit, all season long.
