EUGENE, Ore.– The Eugene Emeralds celebrated the 4th of July a day early at PK Park with a fireworks show, but before that, the Ems’ bats erupted in a 6-1 win over Spokane.

Jalen Goree, a walk-off hero on Thursday night, started the scoring off for Eugene with an RBI single in the third. Later in the inning, Marcus Davis blooped a 2-RBI double into center field to spot the Ems a 3-0 lead.

Spokane scored one run in the fifth, but Eugene slammed the door in the sixth. Mike Miller, featured by KEZI 9 Sports reporter Mike Skow, came through with the bases loaded and nobody out with a 2-run double off the wall in left. Goree followed with another RBI base hit.
