EUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Emeralds are hoping you’ll take the kids out to the ballpark Wednesday night for their home opener.
The team’s excited to get home and even more excited to leave Spokane where they have lost their first four games of the young season.
The Boise Hawks are in town for a three-game series.
This Wednesday is “Kids Eat Free Wednesday.” Children under the age of 12 get a free hot dog, apple and 12-ounce soda.
“We’ve got Sluggo. We’ve got all the zany promotions we do, but really the exciting thing about Ems Baseball is that it’s the official start of summer, which is something that we’re all just waiting for,” said Allan Benavides, Emeralds Generals Manager.
This is a special season for the Ems. The club will be hosting the all-star game this year.
