EPD Cites Postal Employee for Mail Theft

2-6 mailEUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Police Department says a postal employee was cited in lieu of custody for mail theft.

EPD says that man is Alex Douma. EPD says Douma was cited in the 3800 block of Elmira Road for allegedly stealing pamphlets. It’s unclear what type of pamphlets they were.

KEZI 9 News contacted the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General, and it confirms it’s currently investigating a person of interest after receiving a report of undelivered mail. That investigation includes allegations of delay or destruction of U.S. mail, which is a federal crime.
