EPD Hosts Fireworks Turn-In Event

FireworksEUGENE, Ore. — Local law enforcement groups are hosting a fireworks turn-in event for the very first time.

The Eugene Police Department is joining forces with the Eugene-Springfield Fire Department and Eugene Metro Bomb Squad hoping to make the 4th of July and other fireworks friendly holidays as fun and as safe as possible.

You can turn in any illegal or modified fireworks without being cited or arrested Saturday, June 28th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s happening at the Police and Fire Training Building in the front lot on Second and Chambers in Eugene.
