EUGENE, Ore– It’s the No. 1 crime in Eugene: property theft. The Eugene Police Department recovered truck loads of stolen goods, and now they’re trying to find whom it belongs to.
They will be hosting a public stolen property viewing on Thursday, January 10, at the Eugene Police Property Control Unit at 125 N. Garfield St.
In December, Detectives served a search warrant at two locations where stolen property was bought, sold and traded. They recovered hundreds of items worth well over $100,000.
Since then, they’ve been working to match owners to the item. Now, they’re opening it up to the public.
In order to attend the viewing, you must have filed a police report or have a case number.
It opens Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon for victims with the last names beginning with “A” through “M”. From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for victims with last names beginning with “N” through “Z”.

We apologize for the typo. The property viewing is Thursday, Jan. 10, not Wednesday. The article has been updated.
