Officers were in west Eugene today focusing on the West 18th and Chambers intersection. They’ve also held stings in the Valley River area and West 7th and I-105.
Police say the intent is to educate the public and help reduce problems on the road and that goes for everyone, not just drivers.
“We’re looking at everybody that’s doing any kind of violations there that’s going to make it unsafe and so we’re not just specifically targeting cars but anything that’s out there. Pedestrians even,” said Sgt. Jim Ball with Eugene police.
The next enforcement is May 19 on MLK Boulevard and Coburg Road.
