Eugene Embezzlement Suspect Sentenced

EUGENE, Ore. — A long ordeal for a local business came to an end Thursday.

A judge sentenced Sammantha Perryman to more than three years in prison for embezzling thousands of dollars from George Sutton RV.

The company’s owner told the judge how Perryman took advantage of his trust, asking for a personal loan while taking out even more money on the side.

“Although we’re the victims of the theft side of which she did, they’re the victims of the emotional side and that’s a horrible, horrible thing for anybody to deal with. So our hearts go out to them,” said George Sutton, Sutton RV Owner.

The Suttons think the sentence was fair. They say they’re glad they can move on now.
