Eugene Emeralds Game Sells Out

6-11 mickler emeralds pictureEUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Pro Rodeo is not the only hot ticket Thursday night.

The Emeralds say their game is sold out. The team says while they expect tickets to go quickly every year, this year they sold out much earlier, about a week ago.

Besides the game itself, another big draw to this game is the Fourth of July holiday, and the huge fireworks show associated with this particular game.

“We’re sold out now, but I guarantee you that if I walk out here after the game and around the perimeter, you’ll see people camped out to watch the show. You know at the Masonic lodge, over at the bike track, at the east lot here over at Autzen Stadium. There will be people camped up for hours just waiting to watch the fireworks display,” said Allan Benavides, general manager.

More than 30 boxes of fireworks will be used in the show, which will last about 20 minutes.

So if you’re interested in checking out the show, it’s not too late. You can still purchase standing room only tickets.
