EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene family will be living a little more comfortably thanks to some local organizations.
The family chosen received a free home renovation courtesy of Lowe’s Home Improvement and Metro Multifamily Housing Association “Home of Hope” Program.
The family has been living without hot water for months.
Each year, Metro Multifamily Housing Association chooses one deserving family and provides them with a more livable home.
“They have totally landscaped the yard and put down mulch. They mowed and re-sodded the backyard. They put in new countertops and a new sink and dishwasher. They have done upgrades to the bathroom as well,” said Hilary Elkins of Relief Nursery.
The family’s young daughter also received a new bedroom and playroom with brand new toys.
