EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene Fashion Week kicks off Monday night.
Organizers spent the day getting ready for the busy week ahead of them. They say this year they wanted to drive home the idea that fashion is for everyone, and they really want the event to be a true representation of the city.
“It needs to be inclusive of all that and expressive and accepting of all of that, so we want to portray that to the community and any media outside of our community that that’s what we’re about,” said Mitra Chester, productions manager.
Monday night’s event is a meet-and-greet with show participants, including designers and models. It’s free and starts at 7 p.m. at Belly on Broadway in downtown Eugene.
