Eugene Man Arrested for Tasing Officer

EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene man is facing charges after police say he stole an officer’s taser, then zapped him with it.

Jessie Wright was celebrating his 30th birthday over the weekend at Good Times, but when officers asked him to leave the bar, they say he refused.

When an officer tried to use a taser on him, Wright allegedly turned it on the officer, shocking his leg. That officer is not seriously hurt. Others were able to use pepper spray to subdue Wright.

this incident happend in front of docs pad. the officer that pulled the taser had no reason at that point to pull it. wright seeing the taser felt threatened and went for the taser. if police wouldnt misuse their power, because they find a situation to be difficult their first reaction is to use un neccesary force. maybe we should train our officers in subduing a person rather than using tasers and mace first.

Maybe you should try and calm the guy down then…..Police did a good job.
