EUGENE, Ore. — The city of Eugene Municipal Court spent its last day at city hall Wednesday because it’s moving to W 11th Ave. and Lincoln St.
The new municipal court building is almost twice the size of the current location with three courtrooms and more jury space than before.
Staff members say they’re very excited about their new, more functional space.
“We often have to use the city council chambers as our third courtroom as needed, so the second and third courtroom that we’ve added provide us with a lot more flexibility,” said Eugene Municipal Court Administrator Jeff Perry.
The court will be closed May 31-June 7, when the new court will start hearing cases.
