EUGENE, Ore. — A global effort to combat violence against women is coming to western Oregon.
Men, women and children will stand united.
It’s the first-ever global event, and Eugene is joining in. The event is called One Billion Rising.
“It is gaining momentum. I had a young woman with the U of O who developed are Facebook page and got it out there and it’s just taken off. We are excited,” said Cathy Casalegno, event coordinator.
Mark your calendars for Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m. It will be at Wheeler Pavilion at the Lane County Fairgrounds.
