The council learned Wednesday about plans for Summer in the City, as well as the things to come.
Councilors focused on downtown revitalization over the past few years, and the nearly $200 million worth of investments seem to be paying off.
“This summer we’ll be able to experience 20 new retail businesses downtown in the core that weren’t there two years ago. We’re on a path to bring over 1,500 residents to downtown,” said Denny Braud, Eugene Development Analyst.
About 10,000 brochures about what residents can check out this summer are being printed, and 2,500 of those will be in Spanish.
