Eugene Seeks Proposals for Redevelopment

EUGENE, Ore. — City Council is seeking proposals for the sale and redevelopment of 942 Olive Street. Their goal is to increase downtown development and invest in arts and culture.

A Request for Proposals has been released to invite those interested in redeveloping the site. Developers with a track record of building creative and distinctive uses for buildings in downtown settings are encouraged to submit proposals.

The property was bought in January 2009, along with a parking lot to the south. The parking lot was incorporated into the Lane Community College Downtown Campus project, which is expected to be complete in December. With the near completion of the LCC project, the City Council is now looking for proposals to develop the remaining property.

Proposals will be accepted through Dec. 14. You can find more detailsĀ here.
