Eugene Sikh Community Organizes Vigil

EUGENE, Ore. — Members of the local Sikh community will host a vigil to remember those killed in a weekend temple shooting. The inter-faith vigil is scheduled for tonight at 7:00 at Tugman Park — near 37th and Hilyard.

Tea and refreshments will be provided. Organizers say to bring blankets and a candle to light.

Sunday’s shooting left seven dead — including the shooter — at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.

That’s such a tragedy, people are so poorly misinformed and warped. Glad to see some local involvement.

I agree with Dave. We must support all people in our community. I am glad to be part of a community that is standing together for the victims.
