Eugene Students Learn About Weather

video preview image
EUGENE, Ore. — The sixth graders in Ms. Bloom’s class at Applegate Elementary have been studying weather this year and had a few questions they needed answered by a meteorologist.

We couldn’t let those questions go unanswered, so KEZI 9 Meteorologist Melissa Frey stopped by to give them a weather lesson first hand.

They learned about weather extremes, how to forecast the weather, and even how to blow up a balloon by simply heating up the air around it.

If you would like one of the Stormtracker 9 Meteorologists to visit your school, or have a weather question you’ve always wanted answered, just head to the Weather in the Classroom page here.
