EUGENE, Ore. — Local emergency agencies will test the Community Emergency Notification System in parts of Eugene’s South Hills area.
CENS is used to alert people about emergencies such as emergency evacuations, missing child alerts and neighborhood emergencies.
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 1-3 p.m., they will make calls to people’s landlines, and cell phones and VoIP phones that are signed up with the free service.
