video preview image

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — After 18 months in the Gateway Mall, the EuGenius Marketplace is being forced to close up shop. The owner, Dave Wells, says the lease is up, and the mall has plans to renovate the space. Their last day will be Saturday, March 29, from 11 a.m until 6 p.m.

Wells says they aren’t closing because they haven’t done well, the market has actually had quite a bit of success. In fact, a few of the vendors are opening their own businesses because of the connections they’ve made through the EuGenius Market.

KEZI 9 News Reporter Cyd Dutcher shows us two of the vendors who are going in together on a new business that they hope to open next month  in downtown Springfield.
