EUGENE, Ore. — EWEB says it will cut 63 positions.
Fifteen spots are already vacant, but the other 48 employees just found out they’re out of a job by the end of the month.
EWEB says the layoffs are a way to offset costs for customers since electricity from the Bonneville Power Administration keeps getting more expensive.
