METEOROLOGIST MELISSA FREY’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
High pressure is doing it’s job, which means clear skies will stick around, high temperatures will be above average, low temperatures will be below average and we’ll continue to stay dry.
After climbing to the upper 70s this afternoon, overnight lows will likely drop to the low 40s overnight, which may allow some patchy fog to form in the valley and along the coast. What does form will be short lived though. As soon as the sun gets up and going just after 7 a.m. the fog will begin to break and we’ll be left with sunny skies. The high temperature in Eugene should make it to the low 80s Thursday.
A cold front is tracking to move in Friday night, but the brunt of this storm will be taken north and by the time it gets here it’s not looking very impressive. A few clouds late Friday/early Saturday will likely be the most we see. Temperatures will fall only a few degrees to the upper 70s.
Behind this storm, high pressure looks to rebound and grow even stronger Sunday and Monday. This would bring temperatures to the low 80s Sunday and Monday.
Have a great day!
