EUGENE, Ore. — The Cascades Raptor Center in Eugene held its second Family Nature Discover Day of the summer Sunday.
Families had the opportunity to participate in different activities, while learning about nature and wildlife.
“Our goal is that it teaches some appreciation,” said Louise Schimmel, Raptor Center Executive Director. “You can look out at a woodland scene and say it’s pretty, but you don’t really see it on this level of detail.”
Those who rode bikes or hiked the Ridgeline Trail to the Raptor Center had their fees waived.
