EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Community College hosted its second annual Family Day, and the theme was superheroes.
Kids were able to get a glimpse of what a successful future could hold at LCC.
Kids also were allowed to come dressed as their favorite superheroes.
They tinkered with science projects, learned how to operate a police car, focused on fitness training and stirred up delicious meals.
Zanny Zoo was also on hand.
Event organizers say it’s a great showcase for future students.
“The kids are having a great time and the parents are excited to be here with their kids. Everybody is learning a little bit about what LCC has to offer,” said Lane Community College Officer Tiana Marrone-Creech.
The event was free, but donations were accepted.
The event exceeded last year’s participation of around 500 people.
