ODFW Family Fishing Fun

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife hosted a family fishing event at the Alton Baker Canoe Canal. It was part of the ODFW’s Outdoors program, which was designed to introduce young people and their families to the fun of fishing.

The department provided all the equipment and instruction necessary to catch fish. The young anglers put their lesson to good use, many of them caught rainbow trout. Volunteers and staff helped the kids clean their fish so they could take them home.

ODFW has a similar event planned for June 1.
