Fans Wait for New Playstation 4

EUGENE, Ore. — The PlayStation 4 won’t be released until midnight, but that didn’t stop a few local residents from lining up for the new game console early Thursday morning.

The West 11th Fred Meyer says it has 21 PlayStation 4 systems that’ll be available for the first 21 people in line. As of Thursday afternoon, two were already waiting. The first person in line, who got to the store before 7 a.m., says he’s hoping the line gets longer later in the day.

“I hope so, to justify my presence here in the coldness that is here right now,” said Eugene resident Alex Beeler.

Aside from the gaming system, there are also six new games being released. Next week local stores will be doing another midnight release for the new Xbox system.
