MT. PISGAH, Ore. — Every summer, faeries invade Eugene. This is the weekend for the invasion.
Fantasy fans gathered at Mt. Pisgah Friday to kick off the annual Faerieworlds Festival.
It’s a three-day event that lets attendees get away from work, dress in costume and meet new people.
“The great thing about Faerieworld is that it’s really a celebration of creativity and art and music, and it’s a place where people can gather to co-create their own legend, their own myth,” said Jason Pitzl-Waters, programming director.
Vendors are selling faerie fashions and accessories. There’s even faerie face paint.
You’ll also be able to take in live music, including Donovan, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
