Detectives said they weren’t able to provide any new information and continue to ask for the public’s help.
Investigators say 47-year-old Michael Tellone and his daughter 24-year-old Brittney Langford were shot and killed Tuesday night just off Northeast Stephens Street in Roseburg. Langford’s husband, 26-year-old Christopher Langford, was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
While investigators remain tight-lipped about the case’s progress, those who knew the victims openly shared their feelings on social media. Supportive and loving comments are posted on all of their Facebook walls.
On Friday, one of the with victims’ family members told KEZI 9 News that investigators haven’t given them very much information either. And while not knowing can be frustrating, they say for now it’s worth it.
“I’m very thrilled that they’re not releasing any information because that could hinder the investigation. And we’re all just sitting back waiting for the investigation to come full circle, and we have the patience,” Paula Anderson, Michael Tellone’s Sister.
According to Christopher Langford’s Facebook page, a memorial fund has been established in their name at Umpqua Bank.
The family is holding a celebration of life event for family and friends Sunday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The sheriff’s office is still looking for suspect in the shooting. They say the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 30 to 40 years old. Deputies say he was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. If you have any information on this case, contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
