Few Pets Turned in to Greenhill Humane after July 4

EUGENE, Ore. — Greenhill Humane Society staff usually sees a bunch of animals coming in on the Fourth of July and the day after.

But this year, they say only a few came in.

“It seems like over the years, people are learning to keep their pets indoors, to make sure they have collars and identification on them. So we’re hearing of a few lost and found animals. Only a couple have come to the shelter, but so far it looks like things are going pretty well,” said Executive Director Cary Lieberman.

If you lost an animal or found one, Lieberman says Craiglist is a great resource to help reunite owners with their missing pets.
