Fight Sends One to Hospital

EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene police are investigating a stabbing near Highway 99 and Roosevelt Boulevard.

It happened just before 3 p.m. and involved about six to eight people.

Police say at least two people were stabbed during the fight. One person was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

“A fight is already a pretty serious occurrence, and with multiple subjects that elevates it, and then the knowledge there may be weapons present having been used in the fight elevates it even more, and so there was a very quick police response,” said EPD spokeswoman Melinda McLaughlin.

The suspect ran away but was caught by officers.

This situaition has been building for weeks now. Everyday those same two vehicles sit in that parking lot. I don’t know why it had to come to something like this before police wake-up. You can sit and watch the druggies come get their fixes. Then you can sit and literally watch them get restocked by the people providing all the drugs. It’s SO obvious! Wake up Police and business owners! Gotta love Eugene.
