Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:
Fall officially begins Sunday afternoon, making this the final week of summer! We’ll have a couple summer-like days this week, but overall, fall like conditions are quickly moving in.
Monday started off rather mild in the low 6os under mostly cloudy skies and we’re headed to the low 70s. A trough of low pressure will bring in a cooler air mass and showers Tuesday morning. Highs will fall to the upper 60s.
A ridge of high pressure will bring back sunny skies by Wednesday afternoon which will stay through Thursday. Highs Wednesday will be back in the low 70s, then its low 80s for Thursday.
The summer-like weather will come to an end two days early. A strong cold front is headed our way Friday afternoon. This will make for a soggy end to the week with rain Friday night and showers Saturday and Sunday.
Have a great start to the week!
