EUGENE, Ore. — Firefighters are investigating what caused a trailer and home to burn Thursday afternoon.
Crews were out at a home off Harlow Road on Marquet Way a little after 5 p.m. They say a travel trailer next to the house caught fire. It then spread to the home.
There was a person inside the home, but they managed to escape.
“The travel trailer’s a total loss. The home received damage to one bedroom. The siding on the east side of the house and the attic,” said Mark Grover, Eugene Fire Department District Chief.
Witnesses say they heard a few explosions coming from the camper, possibly a propane tank. However, nothing has been confirmed. Crews have yet to determine what started the fire.
