Eugene Springfield fire crews were out late Thursday night trying to put out the flames at a home on Deadmond Ferry Road.
At least one person was home when the fire started, but everyone made it out okay.
Investigators say the fire likely started in the back corner of the home, it then spread to the attic and underneath the mobile home.
“Mobile homes have a lot of what we call concealed spaces,” said Brian Smith, Batt. Chief with the Eugene Springfield Fire Department. “Concealed spaces we have to open up. That takes time and effort. That way we can expose the fire, get water on it and get it out.”
Fire investigators had yet to determine a cause.
